Just sayin, this place would be a LOT cooler if we could shoot each other.......instead of just arguing all the time. I'm glad you don't all have guns for every ace Jer drew.....wouldn't be anyone left to argue with.

Anyone goin to any of the winter shows??? I'm tryin my DAMNDEST to catch the ATL show, I think it's gonna be tough to score tix though. If anyone has an extra HOLLER AT ME!!!!!! I'm gonna try to get one when they do the box office thing. Haven't been able to find out much info on it though. I don't get the pre-order thing.....whats the difference between pre-order and regular sales ( other than the fact that PRE sale happens first)??? Do you still buy them from the same place (ticketmaster-Livenation)????

PS this post is a shameless attempt to drive the drivle that is below into oblivion......feel free to lend a hand!!!!

GUNS? Thank God they are not allowed for I would surely be the second(third?)forumite to be shot. And by the way, no ropes either. We don't allow lynching.

PTK I believe most here , as you say, "remember what it was like to be nice to each other". There is some blatant nastiness and some "locker room banter", but there is also intelligent discussion(can't believe I said that)and even a feeling of community...you know like middle school where everyone "dissed" and picked on anyone who wasn't in their clique.

But aren't we all supposed to be the Kool Kidz on that big ol' Grateful Dead bus???

Well to quote two modern philosophers...

"Be Free, Have Fun"

"Oh, Good Grief"

Yeah Bill, just seems that the tighter this particular community becomes the more exclusive it becomes....exclusive isn't good when were talking about a forum that may be some 12 year old kids first foray into the Deads music. Would you want this to be the way someone was introduces to our scene? Just sayin. It's just sad. AND WE NEED MORE BOMBS DAMMIT!!!!! And we need to use spellcheck. Because if you look at the red lines and see what words your spelling wrong and then fix them people will think your witty.....and that would obviously be of some benefit when we vote for " who's the coolest of the GD geeks." Can't wait to see what the award will be this year.

The presale prices for ATL are $53 reserved and $43 general admission (fees included).

Instructions for mail order:
http://www.gdtstoo.com/GDTSTOOInstru.html

For sale online 12/11 at 10am:
http://furthur.tickets.musictoday.com/Furthur/calendar.aspx

The presale will get you the best seats, and the ticket is much cooler looking than the typical TicketBastard ticket. It's also the way tapers can get their special tapers section tix.

Thanks Deadred. And Rob your obviously WAY too smart for me to speak with. It saddens me to think that young up and coming heads could even find this place and think FOR AN INSTANT that this is what it's about. Pffft. I often think that there may only be three people here posting with 58 different names and ALL striving to be the biggest asshole. Doesn't ANYONE remember what it was like to be nice to each other??????? To be on lot and have fun?????? To stand in front of the stage and SMILE......to look around and see everyone else smiling????? To meet people and WELCOME THEM???? Are all those things lost???? Pretty heavy loss if the meager gain is a framed "internet asshole of the year" award. Hmmmmm.....and the winner is!

LOLOL!!!!

Hey! Which of the below do you consider 'drivle' (sic)?

They recently passed a bill to allow fire arms back in bars/tavern in Arizona, but if you're holstering a weapon you can not drink. I wonder if the same thing should apply to Medical Marijuana establishment ?

Is it a crime to rob a Medical Marijuana establishment if they are selling product from an unfriendly country or will the dirty cops get mad ?

My OM had one of those antique Winchester shotguns, that was depicted in a Robert Hunter cartoon of Mr. Charlie, in the GD Almanac several years. You can load rock salt in the model 1897 just like the song says too. We used to blast away at a sand quarry, not far from where Jerry's grandparents lived in the Santa Cruz mountains. Prospectors used find ancient shark teeth in those sand piles; but I never heard about any missing finger bones.

don't know about guns, but water pistols (dosed and un) would seem more appropriate. Re tix, I've seen face value tickets out for the New Year's shows so I imagine checking craigslist every now and again might work.

I scored four for Atlanta and two for Asheville.
Just follow the link on the right and order away from the Further site. My plan is to see the Asheville show and head north to ski on Wednesday before coming home that night instead of going over to Charlotte. That will be my birthday present I guess.

And would LOVE to confirm that there are humans behind all these post!!! LOL!!! Glad you got tix man!!! I will be there one way or another!!

Edit to add an early HAPPY B-DAY!!!! That in mind I would LOVE to buy ya a beer.

I'm really surprised new "Jerry" John Kadlecik lives 15 miles from me in the shit hole known as Takoma Park, MD, a place where Africa meets Mexico.

Might be even cooler if you could drive a white van filled with fertilizer right on to the site, no? Anyway if the tix are available through live nation you won't be able to walk in to a ticketmaster agent . Live nation is throuigh internet or phone only!

Yeah Rich, I just checked the link that Deadred posted and it seems tix are available right now. I didn't click on the Buy now icon but it wasn't there before and it doesn't say sold out so I'm thinking there's still some presale tix left which is a good sign that there will be some available later. I'm excited about seeing Bob AND Phil in a small venue like the Tab. And HELL YEAH ON THE BOMBS!!!!! MORE FN BOMBS!!!!! More troops and more bombs!!! That'll fix it!!!!!
